Sportsman Channel Gives Fans The Choice For Network's TV Awards

Sportsman Channel today opened up the vote for its TV awards.
All shows and show hosts airing on the network in 2011 were eligible. Finalists were determined by Sportsman Channel producers in an open ballot.

The 2011 Sportsman Choice Award categories are: Best Hunt Show, Best Shoot Show, Best Fish Show, Best Combination (hunting and fishing) Show, Best New Series, Best Show Host(s) and Full Draw Award (bowhunting). Viewers will also vote on the Best Clip awards - short segments that capture the Sportsman world at its finest, lifted directly from shows that aired on the channel in 2011. They include: Best Show Intro, Animal of the Year, Fish of the Year, Shot of the Year and Moment of the Year.
Moreover, one Sportsman Choice voter will win a trip for two to the Sportsman Choice Awards party, held annually in Las Vegas during the S.H.O.T. (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade) Show in January. Voting ends Dec. 11.

Sportsman Channel fans can vote and register for the prizes at There, they will not only be entered for the Las Vegas trip, but also the chance to win the first-place prize of a Zeiss Conquest riflescope, or one of 25 complimentary, one-year subscriptions to any magazine produced by InterMedia Outdoors, the network's parent.
"With the number of long-running shows that have moved to Sportsman this year and the new, original series we've embarked upon, the 2011 Sportsman Choice Awards promises to be the biggest and best awards show to date," Sportsman CEO Gavin Harvey in a statement. "We pride ourselves in letting the viewers do the talking with a click of the mouse, but this is the first time we've invited a viewer to our awards party. They will be able to rub elbows with their favorite hosts and producers while, hopefully, congratulating them on winning a Sportsman Choice Award."
