The Sportsman Channel reached a carriage deal with Midcontinent Communications, the network announced Thursday.
The country’s No. 19 MSO will roll out TSC in its service areas in the Dakotas and Minnesota beginning this month. The network will be carried on the operator’s “Digital Sports” tier, making it available to nearly 200,000 subscribers.
TSC said it is currently available in some 12 million broadcast and cable households.
“We are excited about this opportunity to present The Sportsman Channel to our customers who have requested more hunting and fishing programming,” Midcontinent vice president of public policy for communications W. Tom Simmons said in a prepared statement.
“Our customers are active participants, hunting upland game and birds, as well as fishing our rivers and lakes,” he added. “The Sportsman Channel is serious about our kind of outdoor sports and will be well-received.”
