SportsNet Wins 10 (Mid-Atlantic) Emmys


Comcast SportsNet, Comcast Corp.’s regional sports network, took home 10 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards Sunday night.

The Mid-Atlantic Emmys recognize excellence in news, programming and individual achievement in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

The network has won 42 Mid-Atlantic Emmys since the awards launched in 1997.

Comcast SportsNet won in the following categories: Outstanding Sports Newscast (SportsNite); Outstanding News Feature/Single Report -- Same Day (Wing Bowl Madness); Outstanding Live Sports Coverage/One-Time Only Special (The Final Salute to Veterans Stadium); Outstanding Live Sports Coverage/Series (Philadelphia Flyers Hockey); Outstanding Production Design (Phillies Open); Outstanding Music Composition (Swing Batter); Outstanding Individual Achievement -- Camera/Programming (Brad Nau); Outstanding Individual Achievement -- Anchor/Sports (Matt Yallof), Outstanding Individual Achievement Sports Play-by-Play or Color (Marc Zumoff); and Outstanding Individual Achievement -- Writer/Promotion (April Carty-Sipp).
