PBS Sprout joined the party of Comcast-affiliated programming services winning Mid-Atlantic Emmy awards Saturday night.
Michele Lepeof Sprout original The Good Night Show won in the program host or moderator category, and Tim Burns won for best music composition, a montage of original songs from Sprout programs. The channel, aimed at pre-school children and their adult caregivers, is jointly owned by Comcast, PBS and HIT Entertainment.
As reported earlier, CN8, The Comcast Channel won a quartet of Emmy statuettes at the ceremony. And Comcast SportsNet won three of the regional Emmys: for best sports program feature or segment, Coffee, Mud and Balls, produced by Brad Nau; sports reporter (Lance Crawford) and sports analyst or play-by-play announcer (Marc Zumoff).
