Starz Encore Group LLC said it has launched a subscription-video-on-demand
service to trial customers in Comcast Corp.'s Willow Grove and Lower Merion,
Pa., system.

Starz said its 'Starz On Demand' service is being bundled at no additional
charge to Comcast digital subscribers who have the Starz 'Super Pak.'

The programmer added that it's the only premium network Comcast is testing in
Willow Grove.

Meanwhile, Cox Communications Inc. said it has launched its
entertainment-on-demand service across its entire digital subscriber base in San
Diego.

Movies are priced at $3.95 per title.

In June, Cox will launch a 'Free Zone,' where viewers can see on-demand
sponsored programming from advertisers free-of-charge. Content will include
independent films, sports vignettes, interviews with local celebrities and
long-format advertising.

Cox also said it will launch SVOD later this year.
