Starz Entertainment has hit the slopes with a decade-long output and library deal with Warren Miller Entertainment.
The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, starts in November with the world television premiere of of Warren Miller's Children of Winter. The pact with the company that has been providing winter action sports films since 1949 also includes four untitled projects that will premiere across all Starz platforms including linear, on demand and Starz Play, beginning 2010 and extending through 2019.
In addition to the world premieres, the deal extends Starz Entertainment's exclusive rights to Warren Miller's Off the Grid, Warren Miller's Playground, and other library fare.
"Warren Miller has delighted sports enthusiasts with his astounding winter films for 60 years," said Keenan Young, Starz Entertainment director, program acquisitions. "It's great that our long standing relationship is continuing for another ten years, and it's equally great for our viewers that Starz is the exclusive home for his incredible films."
