Starz’s Clasen a ‘Transformation’ Fan


Starz Encore Group LLC president of sales and marketing Robert B. Clasen backs "brand transformation" as the best way to market subscription-video-on-demand services.

Speaking at the Kagan VOD Summit in New York Wednesday, Clasen said, "We support the brand-transformation approach and believe firmly that once the consumer has the 'epiphany moment' and comprehends the depth, breadth and control associated with SVOD offerings and no-fee-per-view, then value has been established."

The brand-transformation model means on-demand functionality with unlimited use is included with the monthly premium-television subscription.
