Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have agreed to extend their contracts with Comedy Central, the network said.
Stewart's contract extension with the MTV Networks outlet will keep him at the helm of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart through the middle of 2015. He will continue to serve as executive producer, writer and host.
Colbert's extension will keep him and The Colbert Report at Comedy Central through the end of 2014. Colbert serves as executive producer, writer and host for the show.
Fresh off receiving four Emmy nominations apiece, The Daily Show (+10%) and The Colbert Report (+11%) are the only late-night talk shows in all of television to exhibit ratings growth among the key advertiser demographic of persons 18 to 49 for the current television season, the network said.
The Daily Show delivers more 18-to-49 viewers (1.4 million) than any late-night talk show in all of television, according to the network.
