Bravo registered a pair of strong midweek performances with Top Chef and docuseries The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Competition show Top Chef baked series-high performances among total viewers and adults 18-49 Wednesday night. The 10 p.m. installment Jan. 17 attracted some 2.8 million total viewers, 2 million of whom were among the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research data.
The demographic delivery was the best in cable that day, according to Bravo officials, topping A&E Network’s syndicated presentation of The Sopranos and MTV’s The Real World: Denver in that time slot.
Meanwhile, the sophomore-season debut of The Real Housewives of Orange County Tuesday at 10 p.m. became the first installment of the series to garner more than 1 million total viewers.
The new episode recorded a 0.97 household rating and 1.12 million total viewers, a 160% jump over the 430,000 who tuned in the show’s debut March 21, 2006.
The second-season premiere also established a series best relative to adults 18-49, scoring 830,000 of those viewers, 190% more than the show’s premiere total of 286,000.
