Students Take Over CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360°

CNN will air one-hour special Beyond the Front Lines during itsAndersonCooper 360° Friday at 11 p.m. (EST).

The special will feature reports written and produced by six graduate journalism students from the University of California, Berkeley, who spent part of the past year filming U.S. troops involved in the war on terrorism and peacekeeping missions around the world.

“These fascinating reports from six students positioned in the Middle East, Asia and Africa provide a deeper perspective on today’s world events,” said David Doss, senior executive producer for Anderson Cooper 360°, in a prepared statement.

“We were impressed by the strength of the pieces from these aspiring journalists and were pleased to be able to showcase them to the world on our program,” he added.
