Outdoor Channel parent Global Outdoors Inc. said its revenue rose 15 percent
in the June quarter and net income rose fourfold to 10 cents per share from 2
cents in the same period a year ago, fueled by the network's subscriber
gains.

Between Aug. 1, 2001, and this past Aug. 1, Outdoor gained 4 million cable
and satellite subscribers, totaling about 15 million.

Global Outdoors added staff but trimmed total expenses, while subscriber fees
and ad revenue rose 19 percent year over year to $3.96
million.
