Suddenlink Launches OpenTV's Ad-Campaign System

Suddenlink Media, the advertising division of Suddenlink Communications, has deployed OpenTV's EclipsePlus advertising-management system to handle all local ad sales operations for the operator's central and western U.S. divisions.

Suddenlink will use the ad-management platform to manage ad insertion on more than 2,700 channels.

"We are now well-prepared to support our growing ad sales operations with a solution that has already demonstrated many advantages," Kevin Stephens, Suddenlink's senior vice president of commercial and advertising operations, said in a statement.

Other operators using OpenTV EclipsePlus include Comcast and Time Warner Cable.

EclipsePlus can handle thousands of local and interconnect networks, according to OpenTV, and run multiple designated market areas within a single database. The software also features a dynamic scheduler that continuously analyzes current and upcoming schedules in order to optimize yields.
