Suddenlink Launches SWRV Music Video Net

Music Choice's SWRV interactive music video network has launched to Suddenlink Communications’ Digital TV subscribers nationwide, the programmer said. The 24/7 linear channel will appear in Suddenlink’s Digital  Family Tier or Digital Variety Tier subscriber packages, where available.

Viewers can create and star in video dedications, vote on the next video to play and take over their own show, via  their mobile devices and online. SWRV features primarily mainstream pop and hit-driven music videos as well as a full schedule of interactive programs.

“We’re pleased to make SWRV available.  It  adds something new and different for our digital TV customers,” Suddenlink SVP and chief programming officer Patty McCaskill said in a release.  Suddenlink, the seventh-biggest U.S. cable operator, has about 1.4 million customers.

SWRV is currently provided by Cox Communications, AT&T U-verse, Verizon FiOS TV RCN and other affiliates, Music Choce said.  SWRV will continue to roll out to millions of homes nationwide through tiered roll-outs by multiple providers.
