SundanceTV will kick off the second season of its original series The Red Road on April 2, the network said Wednesday.
The second season of the series, which will continue to chronicle the events following a local murder and the tension it creates between a small town and a neighboring Native American tribe, will feature six new episodes, according to Sundance.
The series is executive produced by Aaron Guzikowski (Contraband, Prisoners) and Sarah Condon (“Looking,” “Bored to Death”). Randall Einhorn (“Fargo,” “Wilfred”), who join the two as executive producers for the second season.
“After a thrilling inaugural journey down The Red Road, we are eager to continue this wild ride with fans into a new season,” said Sarah Barnett, President, SundanceTV in a statement. “Season two will continue to explore two opposing worlds, represented by our exceptional leading men Jason Momoa and Martin Henderson and the complex web of lies, compromises and shared history that seeps into their daily lives.”
