Sunday brought smiles to Comedy Central.
The network said Tuesday that it posted its most-watched and highest-rated day ever Sunday in primetime and total day.
According to Nielsen Media Research, Comedy averaged 2.8 million viewers (two-plus) in primetime and 1.5 million for total day.
Three stand-up specials -- Ron White: They Call Me Tater Salad (3.3 million viewers), Larry the Cable Guy: Git-R-Done (2.8 million) and Jeff Foxworthy: Totally Committed (2.5 million) -- helped to propel the network to its record day.
In fact, Tater Salad was the No. 1-ranked show on basic cable Sunday among persons 18-49 and 18-34, Comedy said.
