SupportSoft Inc. and Brix Networks Inc. will integrate their software to streamline voice-over-Internet-protocol customer-service delivery, the two companies said Wednesday.
SupportSoft provides “Real-Time Service Management” software, while Brix supplies VoIP-performance-management solutions.
When combined, the two vendors’ solutions can automate, verify and test call quality to ensure successful VoIP installation, as well as providing proactive notification of any degradation in service levels for immediate resolution.
“Brix Networks provides us with access to a proven leader's VoIP-assurance solutions,” SupportSoft senior director of product management James Morehead said in a prepared statement.
“Combined with SupportSoft's market leadership among service providers worldwide, both companies are now better-positioned to help forward-looking telcos and cable providers take full advantage of IP-based voice technologies -- a key ingredient in triple-play delivery,” he added.
