SureWest Boosts DSL to 3 Mbps

SureWest Communications is speeding up its digital-subscriber-line service.

The integrated communications provider said Monday that it has completed an upgrade that will allow it to offer DSL at 3 megabits per second, priced at $42.95 per month. The company’s current DSL service -- which reaches speeds up to 1 mbps -- sells for $44.95.

SureWest provides digital TV, fiber optics, PCS wireless, DSL, high-speed Internet access, data transport, local and long-distance telephone service and directories in the area encompassing Roseville, Citrus Heights, Granite Bay and portions of Antelope and Rocklin, Calif.
