SusCom: Buzztime Lowers Churn

Susquehanna Communications Inc., which launched Buzztime Entertainment Inc.'s
interactive gaming application this past summer, said digital churn dropped 38
percent in September as a direct result.

'Buzztime's high level of play translates to a closer connection with our
best customers,' SusCom vice president of marketing and programming Dan Templin
said in a prepared statement.

SusCom said churn rates in September among Buzztime-registered set-tops was
3.5 percent, compared with 5.6 percent for non-Buzztime set-tops. During the
three-month period from July through September, 10.7 percent of the 9,762
Buzztime set-tops churned, versus 16.2 percent of the 14,347 non-Buzztime

SusCom launched Buzztime in June, and more than 9,700 set-tops have been
registered to play the service, or 42 percent of the system's 20,735 digital
set-tops. Usage each month has ranged from 20 percent to 26 percent, the
companies said.
