Ira Sussman, a former Initiative Media Worldwide executive who has been a
research consultant for the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau since May, has
joined the organization as vice president of research, the CAB announced
Wednesday.

He replaces Jonathan Sims, who left the CAB in March to join Comcast
Advertising Sales in a similar capacity.

While at Interpublic Group of Cos.' Initiative, Sussman was research
executive VP and, most recently, executive VP and director of its IM Futures
unit.

Previously, he held various posts at Times Mirror Magazines, House of Seagram
Media and ad agencies Bozell, Jacobs, Kenyon & Eckhardt and Ogilvy &
Mather.

CAB CEO Sean Cunningham, making his first major hire since joining the trade
group in June, said in a prepared statement that Sussman and he are "already
immersed in the creation of research that will give advertisers even greater
detail on cable's terrific hold on its viewers, as well as the power of its
brands."

Previously, Cunningham was executive VP at Universal McCann, a sister company
to Initiative under the Interpublic umbrella.
