SWRV Hits 20M Viewer Interactions

Music Choice said its SWRV.TV interactive music-video network hit a milestone of 20 million viewer interactions since launching on Feb. 10, 2010, mostly communicating via the Web.

The programmer said 68% of the viewer interactions were over the Internet while 32% were by phone.

Damon Williams, VP of programming & content development at Music Choice, said in a release: "Viewers love to interact and get their say on what videos air next on SWRV. As a result we have seen artist like Chris Brown continue to reemerge, artist like Ke$ha continue to grow, and have even seen some videos find success without major support from traditional media outlets like radio."

SWRV is distributed by Verizon's FiOS TV, Cox Communications, AT& T U-verse, Service Electric Cablevision and some smaller operators and telcos.

Viewers can create and star in video dedications, vote for the next video to play, and even take over their own show, interacting via mobile text and online at www.swrv.tv. SWRV features mainstream pop and hit-driven music videos.
