Viacom Inc. units Showtime Networks Inc. and Paramount Parks are teaming up for the second time.

The premium programmer and the theme-park operator will run an acquisition and awareness campaign kicking off in June and extending into July.

Time Warner Cable subscribers in the MSO’s Carolina divisions will receive two free tickets to Paramount's Carowinds in North Carolina for signing up to subscribe to Showtime.

And Insight Communications Co. Inc. divisions serving Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis; and Lexington and Louisville, Ky., will provide a buy-one-ticket, get-one-free offer for Kings Island in Cincinnati.

"This promotion is a win-win for all parties concerned,” SNI senior vice president of marketing Geof Rochester said in a prepared statement. “Not only will it drive Showtime subscriptions for the network, but it will drive digital penetration for the Time Warner and Insight cable systems.”

He added, “Additionally, it will generate awareness of Paramount Parks' thrilling rides including the ‘BORG Assimilator,’ the Carolinas' first flying coaster; ‘Nickelodeon Central,’ which is now five times bigger at Paramount's Carowinds; and the new ‘Italian Job: Stunt Track,’ where you can dodge collisions, race down subway stairs and drive through sewer pipes, all in your very own Mini Cooper, at Paramount's Kings Island.”
