The T. Howard Foundation, which fosters diversity in the satellite industry,
said Thursday that its goal for 2001 is to place 25 interns within companies in
the telecommunications field.
At its winter meeting earlier this week in Baltimore, the board already had
23 commitments for internships, the foundation said in a press release.
In an effort to help provide further financial and management assistance to
women and minorities looking to start their own businesses within the industry,
