Tapp Leaves Inspiration Networks

Rod Tapp, the long-time executive VP of sales and marketing at Inspiration Networks, is leaving to pursue other opportunities, the company said.

A former mergers-and-acquisitions executive at ex-MSO Jones Intercable, Tapp has been with Inspiration for 12 years, where his responsibilities include achieving the networks’ sales revenue goals generated by air time sales, retail product sales, programming partner/sponsorships, and affiliate fee revenue.

The network group consists of INSP: The Inspiration Network, Inspirational Life Television (i-Lifetv), Inspiration Network International (INI) and broadband and video on demand outlets.

“Technology is moving at an extremely rapid pace and I am looking forward to opportunities where I can strategically engage in content distribution that adds value to both the cable TV industry as well as meaningful content providers” Tapp said in a release Monday. “I have appreciated my years in leadership at The Inspiration Networks and how we launched three new networks during my time there. The Lord has allowed me to successfully meet many challenges that an independent religious network must face in the cable TV environment and I am excited to see what doors the Lord will open in the future.”

Tapp began his business career at Xerox.
