TBS became the latest programmer to climb aboard the user-generated-video bandwagon, soliciting viewers to create and upload their own comedy videos to the programmer’s Web portal (www.tbs.com).
TBS teamed up with ViTrue to provide the video-management and upload tools to back the new Funny or Not? viewer-generated online-content community set to launch in November. In addition, video clips submitted to the site may also be chosen to air on TBS.
"As TBS continues to build its online presence, especially in terms of broadband entertainment, we are focusing on ways to engage our audience of comedy lovers in new and exciting ways," said Jennifer Dorian, senior vice president of branding and network strategy for TBS and sister network TNT.
