Golf Channel will team with former ESPN and NBC Sports editor Jimmy Roberts to create a new series that looks to uncover compelling stories in golf.
The network also announced the third season renewal of interview show Feherty during its Television Critics Association winter tour presentation Monday.
The network’s new series, In Play With Jimmy Roberts, will premiere March 12 and will chronicle stories ranging from celebrities to everyday people who are all unified by the sport of golf, according to network officials.
Feherty, hosted by former pro golfer David Feherty, launch its third season Feb. 25 and will feature interviews with Jack Nicklaus, Bobby Knight, Jim Nantz, Philo Mickelson and Nick Faldo.
Golf Channel will also launch on Feb. 25 its fifth season of The Hanley Project, which will follow Olympic gold medalist swimmer Michael Phelps as he looks to improve his golf game under the tutelage of golf instructor Hank Hanley, said network officials.
