TCA16: SundanceTV Renews ‘The a Word’

SundanceTV has picked up a second season of its drama series The a Word, the network announced during its Television Critics Association summer tour session at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The series, which captures an authentic portrait of a family dealing with a child diagnosed with autism, will return in 2017, according to network officials.

The six-episode series premiered earlier this month on SundanceTV. Set in England's Lake District, it is co-produced by The Fifty Fathoms and Keshet UK for BBC One, which previously commissioned the second season.
