Turner Classic Movies will feature actor and comedian Chevy Chase on Guest Programmer, airing Monday, Jan. 15.
The movie-showcase series allows celebrities to pick their four favorite films and discuss them.
Chase -- of Caddyshack, Fletch and Vacation renown -- chose for his turn in the programmer’s chair Lawrence of Arabia (1962, starting at 8 p.m.), starring Peter O’Toole and Alec Guinness; The Gold Rush (1925, midnight), directed by Charlie Chaplin; and Rashomon (1950, 1:15 a.m.), with Toshiro Mifune and Machiko Kyo.
Past guest programmers included actress Mia Farrow; humorist, actor and author Bill Cosby; famed lyricist and composer Stephen Sondheim; Playboy founder Hugh Hefner; fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi; actor Mario Cantone; actress Illeana Douglas; actor Burt Reynolds; writer, comedian and actor Buck Henry; and voice-actor Tom Kenny (the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants).
Scheduled for upcoming installments of the show are Loraine Bracco and Larry Miller.
