Turner Classic Movies will delve into the domain of fashion as six renowned
designers discuss the influence classic movies have had over their
Style in Motion will explore the theatrical evolution of fashion every
Monday night in October.
Kate and Andy Spade will kick off TCM's fashion festival with Bonnie and
Clyde (1967) at 8 p.m. Oct. 6, followed by The Swimmer (1968) at 10
p.m., Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967) at midnight and To Kill a
Mockingbird (1962) at 2 a.m.
Subsequent episodes will feature other fashion talents talking about movie
influences: Isaac Mizrahi Oct. 13; Mark Badgley and James Mischka Oct. 20; and
Michael Kors Oct. 27.
Kors will commence his vogue voyaging with The Thomas Crown Affair
(1968), the story of an international art thief and his exploits. Kors himself
designed the costumes for Rene Russo’s character in the 1999
