Telemundo Media has partnered with The Weather Company to integrate weather content into the Spanish-language content provider's digital properities, executives from both companies said.
The partnership will allow Telemundo to integrate local forecast info and other Weather information in in Telemundo’s main navigation bar. In addition, Telmundo will be able to sell advertising, including multiscreen sponsorships, across Weather’s Spanish-language digital properties, including espanol.weather.com and on The Weather Channel’s Spanish-language based domestic apps for mobile and tablet.
Additional partnership elements will include integrating Weather Co. products such as alerts, as well as custom video content across Telemundo's digital properties.
Weather.com receives over 5 million monthly U.S. Hispanic unique visitors on the web with more than 40 million monthly page views, and more than 6 million monthly unique U.S. Hispanic visitors on mobile, according to a Comscore 2013 report.
