Telemundo kicks off its “El Poder de la T” rebranding effort today (Dec. 10) with network execs ringing NASDAQ’s opening bell, followed by a takeover of Times Square and other activities around New York. It’s the culmination of a year-long effort to create an edgier on-screen identity for the Hispanic TV network. The new T logo and series of double-entendre taglines represent what Jacqueline Hernández, COO of Telemundo Media, calls “the duality of our Hispanic identity,” or how viewers balance their Latin roots with life in the U.S.
