TelVue Inks Pact With Broadway TV For Smokey Joes

Last week, TelVue Corp. said it signed a deal with Broadway Television Network to process pay-per-view orders over the Internet from cable and satellite customers who want to see Smokey Joe's Café: The Songs of Lieber and Stoller starting Sept. 1. The event will be telecast Sept. 10 at 9 p.m.

Many U.S.-based customers will be able to order the event via Broadway Television links its Web Site to TelVue's ordering system, which is connected to more than 700 cable systems and direct-broadcast satellite providers reaching close to 16 million homes.

Cable customers register for PPV Internet ordering with TelVue by calling an automated toll-free number one time and entering a six-digit pass code.

TelVue previously arranged to accept World Championship Wrestling PPV-event orders over the Internet.
