WHY WE'RE WATCHING: Last year was a whirlwind for Richardson and nCUBE, during which the video-server vendor rolled out with many MSOs, and won an Emmy Award for outstanding achievement in technology and engineering. In October, C-COR moved to acquire nCUBE, with the $89.5 million transaction closing on Jan. 3. What does she do for an encore in her new environs?
SCORE ON 2004: “We had a very strong year with great customer wins, capped by C-COR's acquisition of nCUBE. We were asked to step in and deliver the Los Angeles Adelphia market in only six weeks. That was followed by a series of other major wins, involving Belgacom, Bright House Networks, Charter, Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Shaw. We also proudly shared the podium at the Emmy awards with our friendly adversaries SeaChange and Concurrent. This was eclipsed with C-COR's acquisition of nCUBE.”
WHAT'S NEXT: “The biggest priorities for me will be to streamline the consolidation of the C-COR Solutions products and roadmap them to ensure we continue to deliver the highest-quality products to our customers.”
DRIVE IN 2005: “C-COR has brought together all the elements to help our customers deliver revenue generating services such as IP voice, video and data over broadband and telecommunications networks. It's exciting to build this one-of-a-kind solution, using interoperable components that can be used together or separately.”
