FX's new detective series Terriers struggled to find an audience for its premiere episode Wednesday.
The Shawn Ryan-produced series, starring Donal Logue (Damages) and Michael Raymond-James (True Blood) as an ex-cop and his best friend who partner to start a private investigation business, averaged 1.6 million viewers during its Sept. 8 premiere, according to FX. In comparison, the premiere of FX's drama series Justified drew 4.16 million viewers in its March 16 premiere debut.
The network's most watched series, Sons of Anarchy, jumped out to a much stronger start in its season three debut. The series' Sept. 7 premiere delivered 4.1 million total viewers and 2.81 million Adults 18-49. The season three premiere ranks as the third most-watched episode of Sons, just behind the show's season two premiere and the season two finale, according to Fx.
