Time Warner Boosts Q Rating

Time Warner Cable will launch Q Television Network in Rochester and Syracuse, N.Y., Oct. 1, the network said Thursday.

The gay- and lesbian-targeted network will be offered as a full-time a la carte channel with a complementary video-on-demand option in Rochester, and as a 24/7 premium offering and via VOD in Syracuse.

“We have been looking for just the right blend of news and entertainment to satisfy our growing contingency of gay and lesbian viewers, who have been actively requesting such a network, and QTN offers an exciting programming package that more than answers that call,” Time Warner vice president for public affairs Jeff Unaitis said in a prepared statement.
