Time Warner Cable will use the video management system provided by Comast’s thePlatform division to aggregate and publish content on the operator's Road Runner broadband portal, giving thePlatform deals with four of the top five MSOs.
Comcast, Cablevision Systems and Cox Communications also use thePlatform to deliver video online.
Time Warner Cable will use thePlatform’s system to manage video content from several content companies and programmers, including CNN, HBO, Music Choice and Showtime.
ThePlatform said its clients, as tracked by comScore Video Metrix, collectively provided a combined total of more than 270 million video views to consumers in May 2008. Its customer list includes BBC, CBS's College Sports TV, CNBC, Comcast, Gannett/USA Today, Hearst, PBS, Sony BMG and Verizon Wireless.
