Time Warner Cable Relaunches Site En Espanol

Time Warner Cable announced the redesign of its Spanish-language Web site, TimeWarnerCable.com/Espanol, which includes new e-commerce features, information, tips and videos.

TWC's three biggest clusters -- New York City, Los Angeles and Dallas/Ft. Worth -- are also among the biggest Hispanic markets in the U.S.

The redesigned site includes such features as PayXpress en Espanol, available in its California, Texas and New York City regions. A Spanish-language "click-to-chat" customer service feature will also launch in these areas within the next month and across the company's footprint by the end of May 2010, the cable company said.

The new site offers Hispanic customers access to information on products, services, clips and highlights of Spanish-language shows on top U.S. Hispanic networks and international channels. Video vignettes with tips about TWC services feature Hispanic personalities, such as Giselle Blondet, host of Univision's Nuestra Belleza Latina, and Catherine Siachoque, Telemundo's telenovela actress.

The enhanced site also includes a new section called "Mi Cultura" (My Culture) with articles on the latest Spanish-language programming, Latino celebrities, novelas, movies, fashion and more.

"Now our subscribers can not only have easy access to information on all our products, offers and Web tools but also Spanish content that will provide a greater experience and level of relevancy," Marisol Martinez de Rodriguez, TWC's director of corporate hispanic marketing, said in a statement.

To promote the relaunch of the site, Time Warner Cable is partnering with Olympusat's Latele Novela Network, which features telenovelas from across Latin America, to carry out an online promotion giving away three Mother's Day makeover packages. Winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Miami, a hair and makeup session with "stylist to the stars" Leonardo Rocco, a new wardrobe and an appearance in Latele Novela's Happy Mother's Day Makeover TV special. The sweepstakes runs until April 25.
