Time Warner Cable promoted Michael Roudi to senior vice president of mobile services, responsible for overall mobile strategy and managing the development and deployment of the operator's mobile products and services.

Previously, Roudi was group vice president of wireless products. He will continue to report to Carl Rossetti, executive vice president and president of Time Warner Cable Ventures.

In his expanded role, he will oversee business planning, partnership negotiations, product development, operations and overall product marketing for the company's mobile products -- including the 4G service offered through Clearwire -- as well as its regional Wi-Fi initiatives.

"Mike has played a key role in leading the integration and implementation of our wireless product," Rossetti said in a statement. "His extensive leadership skills and knowledge of the industry make him the ideal candidate to take on this expanded role. His tremendous contributions will continue as he oversees our mobile strategy to ensure we serve the needs of our customers."

Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Roudi was founder and president of MCR Partners, a consulting firm that specializes in product marketing strategy, program execution and new product development for the communications and hi-tech industries. Before that, he held management positions at AT&T, VarTec Telecom and Excel Communications.
