Time Warner Cable will use C-COR Inc.’s “Mobile Workforce Manager” in its Minneapolis and Charlotte, N.C., divisions, the vendor announced Wednesday.
C-COR said its MWM provides field-management tools that automate managing a field-service work force using the latest advances in hand-held PCs, wireless communications and browser-based work-force-management-software applications.
Time Warner is also using C-COR gear in Albany and Syracuse, N.Y.; Columbus and western Ohio; Portland, Maine; San Diego; Austin, Texas; and Greensboro, N.C.
“We are proud of our ongoing work with an industry leader such as Time Warner Cable in providing the tools to maximize efficiencies in the field and reduce operating costs,” C-COR Solutions president Michael Pohl said in a prepared statement.
“C-COR’s Mobile Workforce Manager gives operators the ability to automate key operational aspects of the business, such as real-time notification of critical information to their work force, with an interoperable solution for easier integration and less disruption,” he added.
