Time Warner Inc. and The Nielsen Co.
said they have signed a seven-year deal under which Nielsen Media Research will
provide all of its measurement services to Time Warner under one contract.
The deal, which includes Nielsen's television, online and
mobile measurement services, as well as research on advertising segmentation,
targeting and consumer engagement, comes just days after reports that Time
Warner and other large media companies were working to develop a new
measurement service that could potentially replace Nielsen.
