Time Warner's San Diego system is adding six high-definition channels to its lineup, raising the number of HD channels available on the system to 32.
That's double the number of HD channels the system delivered one year ago. New additions include Animal Planet, CNN, Discovery, Disney Channel, The Learning Channel and The Science Channel.
The system has also added History Channel en Espanol to its Spanish-language tier, as well as Daystar Television Network, Universal Sports and BYU TV.
The new HD offerings were among those highly requested by the 425,000 homes served in the system.
