Time Warner to Use nCUBE VOD Gear

Pushing ahead with its multivendor approach to video-on-demand, Time Warner
Cable said Monday that it will deploy nCUBE equipment to offer VOD in seven
additional markets.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Time Warner is deploying nCUBE's 'n4' video servers and VOD-management
platform in Los Angeles and, reportedly, in the MSO's coveted New York
market.

The MSO will also use nCUBE's VOD platform to offer the advanced service in
Green Bay and Milwaukee, Wis.; Minneapolis; and Memphis, Tenn. Time Warner and
nCUBE officials would not confirm those markets.

In all, Time Warner has inked deals to offer the advanced service via the
nCUBE platform in eight markets, which serve an aggregate 3 million basic
subscribers and 1.1 million digital customers.
