Veteran Wall Street player and former NBC executive Tom Wolzien was elected to the board of directors of TiVo.
With the addition of Wolzien, TiVo’s board counts nine members, including eight independent, outside directors. Wolzien’s appointment is effective immediately.
Wolzien, 60, founded consulting and advisory firm Wolzien LLC in 2005. His clients include media and communications companies.
Before starting his own firm, Wolzien was a well known Wall Street analyst, working as a sell-side media analyst for Sanforc C. Bernstein & Co., where he covered public cable companies.
Earlier, Wolzien worked at NBC in several positions, including show producer, executive producer, news vice president and senior vice president of cable and business development.
