TiVo-Dish Suit on Hold Until March

TiVo Inc.’s lawsuit against EchoStar Communications Corp., which was slated to begin Monday, has been delayed until March, AP reported.

Federal District Court Judge David Folsom said he was delaying the case because the courtroom in Marshall, Texas, was only available for two weeks, according to AP.

In the suit, the digital-video-recorder vendor accused the direct-broadcast satellite operator of stealing its multimedia time-warping system technology, which lets viewers pause, replay or fast-forward live television, according to AP.

TiVo is seeking lost royalties and triple damages.
