TLC's Palin Series Pulls 4.96 Million Viewers


Cable audiences used their remote controls to vote overwhelmingly for Sarah Palin's new reality series.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate 's new TLC series Sarah Palin's Alaska garnered 4.96 million viewers last night -- the biggest series debut ever for the Discovery Communications-owned network, according to network officials.

The series, which focuses on Palin's family life as well as her home state, is the number one program launch in TLC's history among total viewers and households, besting the What Not To Wear series launch in 2003, according to network officials.

The series posted triple digit ratings and delivery gains versus the prior six-week prime average, according to TLC officials.
