The service’s Sept. 26 Thursday Night Football telecast garnered a 4.9 U.S. household rating, 7.6 cable rating and 7.6 million viewers, according to Nielsen fast nationals data. The totals exclude viewership on over-the-air stations in the participating teams’ DMAs.
San-Francisco-St. Louis, which stands as the eighth-highest-rated and ninth-most-watched TNF telecast, peaked during the first half in the 9:45 p.m. quarter hour with a 6.1 U.S. rating and 9.7 million viewers.
Through three games, TNF has averaged a 5.4 rating and 8.6 million watchers, putting NFL Network on pace for its most successful Nielsen season with the franchise.
