TNT Thursday announced that it has greenlit Time Heals and The Line, a pair of new original dramas that will make their way onto the network’s lineup this year.
Time Heals, which stars Jada Pinkett Smith, will be a character-driven medical drama. The Line, featuring Dylan McDermott and executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, is described as a “fast-paced, undercover police drama,” network officials said.
Both series will debut later this year for 10-episode runs.
The new series will round out a lineup that includes original series such as The Closer, Saving Grace, Raising the Bar and Leverage.
“We’re excited to add The Line and Time Heals to a lineup that is steadily establishing itself as one of the best slates of entertaining, smart dramas on television,” Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies, said in a statement. “These new series also reflect our belief that great television comes from great talent. The talent at work on these shows is among the best in the business at delivering quality entertainment.”
