The second-season finale of TNT’s The Closer set records for viewers, households and adults 25-54 among ad-supported-cable season finales, according to Nielsen Media Research.
TNT said the Monday episode of the series -- which stars Emmy Award nominee Kyra Sedgwick -- drew 7.6 million viewers.
The network renewed The Closer for a third season to debut next summer, along with a two-hour special set to air in December.
TNT added that the series is ad-supported cable’s all-time No. 1 as far as viewers and households and No. 1 year-to-date among viewers, households and key adult demos.
