TNT’s Grid Makes Ratings Bid

The Grid, Turner Network Television’s much-ballyhooed limited series, uncovered plenty of viewers in its initial outing, notching a 3.6 household rating during its July 19 premiere from 9 p.m.-11 p.m., according to Nielsen Media Research data.

All told, The Grid found some 4.33 million viewers in the process.

The series, which examines terrorist activities, was also a ratings dynamo against key demographics, topping The WB and UPN that night among adults 18-34 (663,000), adults 18-49 (1.49 million), adults 25-54 (1.92 million), women 25-54 (900,000), men 18-34 (428,000) men 18-49 (842,000), men 25-54 (1.02 million), households (3.19 million) and viewers.
