Toomer, Oben Join MSG Varsity As Football Analysts

MSG Varsity is adding a couple of G-men to its broadcast roster.
Cablevision Systems Corp.'s exclusive high school sports network serving the New York metro area has hired former New York Giants stars Amani Toomer and Roman Oben as color analysts. They will kick off their duties on Sept. 9 at 7 p.m., with the return of Friday Night Football.
Toomer, the longtime Giants wideout who holds the club record for postseason receptions and helped the team win Super Bowl XLII. is set to provide insights across MSG Varsity, which on Sept. 6 will begin regionalizing its High School SportsDesk weeknight coverage to Cablevision subs in Long Island, New Jersey, New York City and Connecticut/Westchester County/Hudson Valley.
Oben, a left tackle who spend 12 years in the NFL with the the Giants, Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for whom he played an integral role during their Super Bowl XXXVII triumph, will work as an analyst for coverage of games in Westchester.
