`Torchwood' Audience Slips For Second Episode

Last Friday's episode of Starz' Torchwood: Miracle Day fell slightly in viewership compared to its premiere telecast.

The sci-fi series, based on the BBC series of the same name, fell to 609,000 viewers from the 819,000 viewers the show generated in its July 8 premiere, according to Starz executives.

Through four weekend airings, the second episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day averaged about 1.4 million viewers, down from 1.9 million viewers from the week prior.

Total viewers for the premiere episode grew to a total of 2.7 million viewers with the inclusion of three additional weekly airings and Live +3 DVR data, said network executives.
